Coming soon.
Coachella 2010 experience coming up soon. Hopefully, Sharon does a massive one as well since I didn't see her that much at Coachella. At least we camped together so that we were able to see one another.
What? A boyband?
NLT's "That Girl"
Well kind of a boy band. They broke up. Shame that they did, though. They actually held up their own as a boyband in the post-NSYNC/BSB age. Their vocals are great.
I listened to them when they came out, but never really kept a close watch on them. But Karma was always on repeat. Sharon and I listen to this song a lot because it's just so great. Poppy, danceable, and charismatic.
Anyways... does any of the members look familiar? Yes, that's right. Artie (the guy in the wheelchair) from Glee! I was shocked when I realized that Artie was in fact the guy from NLT.

Let's do something real.
Delphic's "This Momentary"
There's something about this song, together with the music video, that gives me such a great feeling of sadness and hope. The blending of sound and video are perfect. Also, the overlapping of multiple voices provide this atmospheric sound to it. The alternating shots provide a sort of stillness to the mood. There is a desolation to these images. It's as if its a collection of a ghost town, yet there are alternating images of people, to breathe life in the video. When there is action in the film, the timing is slowed down. The images of the people who appear to be in an almost post-war world give a sense of hope. My inner film lover is in love with the editing of the music video. It is sync-ed perfectly to the breaths that the artists make in between certain lines. Ah, it's breathtaking. Please take a listen, I'm positive you won't regret it.
They were supposed to make their US debut at Coachella, but due to the unfortunate circumstances of the volcano, they were unable to get a flight out to the US. I am hopeful that they will soon perform in LA. Until then, I shall be listening to their album.
Read with me what is said wasn't never meant to hurt,
Real stories always come of worse
Can we make the time to leave it behind and reshape,
remake our Fate in what we see, how you feel so unsteady,
I'm already out of reach, remember finding your feet,
In a fine time, take time to find me,
I'll be ready waiting let's do something real...

Visualized music
Isn't this stunning? The piece is already stunning, but to see it visualized in a digitized form is beautiful. It's like a melding of the old and the new. Oh, how I love it so.
Here's another one.
I am absolutely in love with these. I miss playing classical pieces. When I get home, I need to take a trip to the music store to buy new sheet music and whip out my clarinet. I bet it misses me.

Are you a native?
I have many obsessions that vary from day to day, but lately i've been obsessed with the Local Natives. They're music is beautiful, they sound a bit like Fleet Foxes but less folky, and they have voices like Grizzly Bear but a tad softer. They are my muse right now, when I listen to them i just wanna paint a portrait of a serene landscape... yeah i'm cheesy from time to time. Anyway give them a listen:
I re read this blog post and I am weird... I don't wanna paint shit when I hear this, but I do like the song none the less!

Uffie
Oh my Uffie, why are you so cool? You're American born but you have this sense of European about you. Great song, beautiful video.

No one ever really dies
I love Pharrell Williams, one time I waited in line for 8hrs just to be in the front row for the N.E.R.D. & Common show. My ideal way to spend my sunday would be to eat soup and listen to N.E.R.D., especially their song "You Know What." Come to think of it, it's been two years since their CD Seeing Sounds came out. Hmm weird how time flies, there I was a week before college started and now, two years later i'm still in love with this song and Pharrell!

How does it feel to be neglected?
We've been neglecting this poor blogspot, it's been a year since we've created it and we've only posted about 6 or 7 times. I promise to start writing in this more often, meanwhile take a listen to this:
I don't know what I'm looking for...
